ResponsibilitiesScheduling timely transportation servicesAllocating Drivers for various transportation services such as pickups and deliveriesExplaining and negotiating contract terms with drivers and other vendorsGenerating and processing transportation documents and invoicesKeeping a track of the transportation budget and expensesExamining driver logbook entriesDeveloping and implementing transportation policies and proceduresRecruiting and overseeing the performance of the transportation stuffCoordinating with the Transportation Manager to optimize transportation servicesEnsuring compliance with the industry regulations and requirementsRequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience as a Transportation Specialist, Transportation Administrator , or a similar role in the Logistics departmentComplete knowledge of the industry rules, regulations, and logistics proceduresFamiliarity with logistics/Port/containers industryGood time management and organizational skillsStrong leadership skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsGood communication and negotiation skillsAbility to handle stressful situationsHighly motivated and detail-oriented individualAbility to provide excellent customer service
